Hammered Hoop Earrings Class

In this class we'll be working with a variety of jewelry making tools and brass wire to create a pair of modern hoop earrings entirely from scratch!
You'll learn the art of metal hammering and shaping to create custom sized earrings and then use Delica seed beads to add color and pattern.
By the end of the class you'll have a finished pair of earrings as unique as you are! Or if you're feeling extra generous a cool gift for someone special. If that wasn't enough, you'll gain the skills to get busy creating an endless range of earrings or other jewelry in your spare time!
No previous experience is necessary for this beginner level workshop and all materials and equipment will be provided.

Noelle Vilela has always been drawn to artistic expression via numerous mediums. Living in Portland she has truly found a home as an artist. Feeling inspired by the beautiful city and the quiet power of nature she began noniko in 2010 as an outlet for metal smithing and her one of a kind pieces of jewelry. More recently she has shifted her focus to creating macrame and woven wall art. In 2017 she came on board with Assembly, where she enjoys sharing her knowledge and passion for crafts with students across all skill levels and ages.

Unless otherwise noted, workshops are for those 16 years of age or over.
Cancellation Policy-
A 72 hour notice via email prior to class is required to issue a refund of the class fee.
A 48 hour notice via email prior to class is required to reschedule or issue class credit.
If the class size minimum is not met 48 hours before class, Assembly may cancel class and all registered students will be notified via email.

Come get creative at Assembly’s studio storefront in Southeast Portland located in the vibrant Clinton-Division neighborhood.
We're aligning with federal, state, and local guidelines to mitigate as many risks as we can in creating a healthy and safe (and fun!) environment to work and make. This includes updated cleaning protocols, new methods of providing technique demonstrations, and little to no shared supplies between students.
Please note:
- Classes are filled to less than 50% capacity (max of 9 people) to allow for physical distancing (6+ ft) between the seats at our 3 large tables.
- Seats are pre-assigned and people registered together will be seated together as a party. If you've signed up separately from a friend and want to sit together, please email to let us know!
