Join us for a live virtual online class to transform beautiful brass tubing into a stunning hanging mobile- with all supplies (and plant) included!
Follow along and ask questions in real time with instruction and demonstration from our talented Teaching Artist via the Zoom video platform.
You’ll work step by step to construct the intricate three dimensional shape by stringing on tubes, wrapping wire, and finally attaching the top hanger.
This project is based on traditional Finnish-inspired designs known as himmeli that were originally made with straw and used as holiday ornaments and decorations. Given new life with modern brass tubing, this 4” tall geometric piece of art can certainly be enjoyed year round!
Your kit will also include an air plant to give a pop of color to your finished mobile. Don’t worry- we’ll discuss proper plant care at the end of class! These unique and low maintenance plants don’t require soil to thrive, so it’ll find a happy home hanging in your himmeli.
No experience necessary and a supply kit is provided.
