Whether you want to call it fluid art, liquid art, or acrylic pouring, there’s nothing more satisfying than creating abstract masterpieces by letting pigment run amok.
In this relaxing workshop you’ll explore acrylic pour painting, a type of fluid art that utilizes motion and contrast to create abstract color paintings. There are endless creative possibilities thanks to the different ways to combine acrylic paints and there’s something so satisfying about watching it spill across a surface.
During this class you’ll learn about color blending, proper ratios for mixing with a paint medium, practice different pouring styles, and learn how to create a masterpiece while in motion. You’ll leave with two finished canvases, an 8x10 and 11x14, ready to hang!
Unless otherwise noted, workshops are for those 16 years of age or over.

Molly Frechette is a local artist who uses creativity and art to facilitate mental health and healing through her day job as a social worker. She was born and raised in Las Vegas, where she fell in love with the bright colors against the desert landscape. She visited Oregon once and was living here within months, enthralled with the natural colors of the pacific northwest. Molly has been doing abstract paintings since high school, but recently fell in love with the acrylic pouring techniques. She is currently finishing her master's degree in social work and frequently integrates art into her therapeutic practices. She believes that art and color immersion are an integral part of self-care and mental health. On the weekends, you can find her painting, hiking, and spending time with her husband, son and two rescue dogs.
