Online Class Information
Online Class Registration
Pre-registration through our website is required to attend an online class.
Note-- all class times listed are in Pacific Time Zone.
Similar to our in-studio workshops, class size is limited so we recommend signing up in advance to reserve your spot. It is also essential to order your supplies in advance so you’ll have them in time--- so don’t delay!
Supplies for online classes
You’ll need to gather the necessary supplies listed in the class description to follow along at home. While you could simply just watch the class, we encourage you to also practice the craft with us to get the full benefit of this unique learning experience.
A couple of the classes include the supplies in the class fee, but most require ordering a kit in addition to class registration. Some household supplies, like masking tape, scissors, paper towels, or cup of water, may be required in addition to supply kits.
Please purchase everything in advance so you’re prepared and ready at class time!
Recommended supply order deadlines:
- Tues-Thurs evening classes: Order by Monday evening for Tuesday afternoon pickup
- Friday & Weekend classes: Order by Thursday evening for Friday afternoon pickup
Ship to Oregon/Washington: Order 5 business days before class
Ship to rest of US: Order 7 business days before class
We’ll be hosting our online classes via the Zoom video conferencing platform. https://zoom.us/
Zoom is free to download and use and an account is not required to access the class.
You can join via computer, smartphone, or tablet that has an internet connection. If you’re going to join on a phone or tablet, make sure to download the Zoom app first.
Test out your device before the class! Run a video and audio test at http://zoom.us/test
Tip: Plug your device into a power source during class, if possible, to ensure you don’t have to scramble for that if your battery runs low.
Accessing your online class
You'll receive a reminder email 24 hours before your class session that contains a unique link to access the class.
Log into the session at least 10 minutes before class start time. This will give you time to figure out any unexpected tech issues before class.
Please make sure that your Zoom name is easily recognizable for us and matches the name under your registration. Otherwise, we won’t know that you’ve registered officially for the class! That name window will pop up the first time you use Zoom.
When you enter the session, your personal audio will be muted and your camera will be off automatically. You can unmute yourself to ask a question, but otherwise we’ll have everyone muted to prevent background noise. Turning your camera on is optional, but we’d love to see you and it’s helpful for us to see non-verbal cues.
Cancellation policy for online classes:
We will issue refunds, transfers, or credits of the class registration fee only ($20) and require contact via email in advance of the class with the request.
Once the supplies are shipped or marked as ready for pickup, these are now yours!
Please contact us with any questions and we look forward to jumpstarting your new craft skills!
