Online Class Information
Online Class Registration
Pre-registration is required to attend an online class.
Note-- all class times listed are in Pacific Time Zone.
Similar to our in-studio workshops, class size is limited so we recommend signing up in advance to reserve your spot. It is also essential to order your supplies in advance so you’ll have them in time--- so don’t delay!
Supplies for online classes
The class supply kit is available to add to your order on the same page as the class registration.
Some household supplies, like masking tape, scissors, paper towels, or cup of water, may be required in addition to supply kits and this will be noted in the description.
In some cases, the class supply kit may not be available until 1-2 weeks prior to class. You'll be notified when your order ships or is ready for local pick up in the studio.
We host our online classes via the Zoom video conferencing platform. https://zoom.us/
Zoom is free to download and use and a Zoom account is not required to access the class.
You can join via computer, smartphone, or tablet that has an internet connection. If you’re going to join on a phone or tablet, make sure to download the Zoom app first.
Test out your device before the class! Run a video and audio test at http://zoom.us/test
Tip: Plug your device into a power source during class, if possible, to ensure you don’t have to scramble for that if your battery runs low.
Accessing your online class
The Zoom information will be included in your supply kit and you'll also receive a reminder email 24 hours and 2 hours before your class session that contains the link to access the class.
Plan to log into the session about 5 minutes before class start time. This will give you time to figure out any unexpected tech issues before class.
Please make sure that your Zoom name is easily recognizable for us and matches the name under your registration. You can rename yourself if needed once you join the class.
Sit in a comfy chair, grab a beverage, and maybe even turn on some light background music you’d like to enjoy while working!
We encourage everyone to have their camera on during class, if your context allows, but it is optional. It makes it easier for the Teaching Artist to regularly check-in on the learning process and class pacing. It’s a challenge to teach to empty boxes on screen!
It’s best for your audio to be muted by default during class to reduce background sounds, but questions and comments are definitely welcome and you can simply unmute to ask or use the chat box function.
Cancellation policy for online classes:
We will issue refunds, transfers, or credits of the class registration fee only (see individual class description for fee amount) and require contact via email in advance of the class with the request.
Once the supplies are shipped or marked as ready for pickup, these are now yours!
Please contact us with any questions and we look forward to crafting with you!
