You too can learn to knit!
Join us to practice the meditative art of knitting in a very supportive and beginner friendly environment.
You’ll learn the basics of casting on, the knit stitch, and casting off and spend time focused on the repetitive movements until it feels natural. We’ll explore ways of holding your needles and yarn, as well as a few simple hand exercises to keep your body and mind flexible for knitting or whatever crafts come your way.
This is a class centered around the process and hand movements of knitting rather than the pressure of working on a project. You’ll leave with your own set of bamboo knitting needles, one of our favorite wool yarns, and the skills to move on to a project, such as a washcloth or scarf. From there, the knitting project possibilities are endless!
No experience necessary and all supplies and equipment provided.
Note: If a date is sold out, join the waitlist to be contacted when a spot opens up.
This class is taking place in our Portland studio.
